Portraits of Sound consists of seven individual moving portraits. The films invite the viewer to consider mortality, re-birth and meditate on the nature of our connection with nature. Each vignette is a moving portrait of a Shanghai musician accompanied by their respective music, each shot in a single take on 35mm or 16mm film.
